In these pages in the past, we’ve offered you glimpses of the tremendous literary talent here at Clemson. Drive Time featured Jillian Weise’s poetry and you’ve learned why somebody had to go in Keith Lee Morris’ The Dart League King.

If you’re hungry for more, we’ll direct you toward the Clemson Literary Festival, an ongoing and growing tradition that not only features local authors and faculty, but also draws fiction writers and poets from around the country.

The Clemson Literary Festival is a free and public event. This year, the festival is thrilled to announce that the US poet laureate, Natasha Trethewey, is the headlining reader. With various workshops, readings all over Clemson’s downtown area, literary trivia, and roundtable discussions with talented authors, the Literary festival offers much to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Plans to include a “Family Day” with activities for children and readings by local children’s authors ensure that the 7th Annual Clemson Literary Festival is an open opportunity for all ages.

You can view the festival’s scheduled events or learn more about the festival itself at 7th Annual Clemson Literary Festival.
