Waste Less – Promote More
“Waste Less – Promote More: Engagement and Innovation Competition,” a partnership between RecycleMania and the National Wildlife Federation, recently recognized a case study written by Clemson undergraduate Paige Foley, the President’s Commission on Sustainability Intern. Foley’s case study discussed how the Clemson Players pioneered an environmentally conscious approach to production of Eurydice (mentioned in our Spring 2015 cover story, Of all human qualities).
All aspects of the play were recycled or upcycled, from the set design to the costumes. One of the more remarkable features of the production was the use of over eighteen thousand plastic bottles in the set, gleaned over the course of four months by volunteers from the community.
